Poly rope drive

As the name suggests, the Royal de Boer poly rope drive uses a polyester rope as a traction device. The polyester rope is one of the most animal-friendly materials for the walkways in the cowshed. It forms a natural obstacle, is soft and contains no sharp parts.
The poly rope drive can be used in a wide variety of stable layouts. In stables with automatic milking systems, for example, a poly rope manure removal system equipped with a DG-321 cleans the feeding and walking aisles in the stable. Individual areas can be cleaned at individual intervals. The walkways between the cubicles more frequently and the feeding walk along the feeding axis less frequently so as not to disturb the animals while they eat. By manual confirmation, separate areas such as: B. the aisle in front of the calving pen needs to be cleaned. This application offers optimal flexibility, safety and animal friendliness.

The drive itself is very simple in terms of its construction. A light transmission via a sprocket is used to drive the drum. At the bottom the rope is inserted through a pulley. The hot-dip galvanized frame is equipped with a housing made of stainless steel sheet

The poly rope drive for manure scrapers consists of two drive stations that alternately wrap and unwind a rope around a drum. This makes this type of drive particularly suitable for stables with one or three gears. Depending on the structural conditions, the poly rope drive can clean stables with an aisle length of up to 180 meters and a maximum of four scrapers. The rope is fed to the drum via a pulley at the bottom of the frame, which is built at a height where the cows can no longer reach it. This makes the system fairly slim at the bottom, making installation easier. The rope can be retracted from either the side or front, providing additional flexibility during installation.

The 18 mm thick polyester rope is very wear-resistant and pre-tensioned. By pre-stretching the rope, “jumping”, the jerky running of the manure scraper, is largely prevented. This particular rope can be identified by the green thread woven into the rope.
